Woman not to face trial on firearms charges

A 24-year-old woman accused of possessing a firearm and one round of ammunition, was last week told the Crown was not pursuing the case against her.

Tiffany Eatherley was informed of the decision on February 8 in Magistrates' Court.

The mother-of-two had been charged with possessing a firearm and a single nine-millimetre round between January 13 and December 16, 2008.

Last week, Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner warned Ms Eatherley that although the Crown had decided not to pursue the case against her, her file could be reopened in the future.
