and without insurance, was fined $800 in Magistrates' Court yesterday.

Rodre Desmond Wilson, 17, of Beach Hill Road, pleaded guilty to the offences which occurred on January 4.

Insp. Peter Duffy, prosecuting, said Police spotted Wilson riding south along Beacon Hill Road. He was later arrested on another matter. At that time it was determined he was only 17.

Although the motorcycle, a Yamaha V80, had a valid TCD sticker, a check revealed the licence plate belonged to another cycle.

Magistrate the Wor. Cheryl Ann Mapp fined Wilson $300 for riding while disqualified, $425 for riding an uninsured cycle and further disqualified him for 12 months.

He was also fined $75 for using a false licence plate.

In a second set of charges, Wilson pleaded guilty to stealing Dianne Simmons' motorcycle that was valued at $1,400 on December 23 and wilfully and unlawfully damaging it.

He also admitted riding the cycle while disqualified and driving it with no third party insurance.

Simmons had left her cycle at the Marketplace around 1 p.m. with only the handlebars locked.

When she came back around 3 p.m. it was gone.

Mrs. Mapp ordered a social inquiry report and granted Wilson $500 bail with one surety. He will be sentenced on February 23.
