Another record high as index gains 80 points

The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index reached another all time high last week gaining 80.009 points to close at 4,400.36.

Butterfield Bank was the lead performer last week gaining $1.50 to close at $56.50 as investors traded in 40,729 shares, BF&M rose 50 cents to close at $18.50 on volume of 12,336 shares and Bermuda Aviation Services rose 25 cents to close at $25 as 5,800 shares changed hands. Meanwhile LOM moved up 5 cents to close at $3.05 as investors traded in 10,000 shares, Devonshire Industries traded in 12, 336 shares to close unchanged at $14.95 and 200 Belco shares changed hands to remain unchanged at $39.90.

The total value of the shares bought and sold on the BSX last week was $2,552,068.50 and the overall volume of shares was 63,765.
