The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index gained 10.85 points yesterday to close at 4,375.46.

On a moderate day of trading Belco Holdings was the only issue to advance, gaining $2.25 to close at $39.75 as investors traded in 1,100 shares.

Butterfield Bank fell 15 cents to close at $55.60 on volume of 2,790 shares, Kentucky Fried Chicken traded in 200 shares to remain unchanged at $6 and Argus traded in 7,200 shares to close unchanged at $14.

The total value of the shares bought and sold on the BSX yesterday was $300,472.50 and the overall volume of shares was 11,290.
