Index gains 54.76 points
The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index gained 54.76 points yesterday to close at 4,408.55.
On an active day of trading BF&M led the advances, gaining $1.25 to close at $18.50 as investors traded in 1,000 shares.
Argus rose 75 cents to close at $14.75 as 1,300 shares changed hands, Butterfield Bank rose 25 cents to close at $55.75 on volume of 870 shares and KeyTech gained 25 cents to close at $13 as 100 shares changed hands.
20,000 LOM shares changed hands to close unchanged at $2.90, Devonshire Industries traded in 600 shares to closed unchanged at $14.95 and Belco traded in 1,000 shares to close unchanged at $39. The total value of the shares bought and sold on the BSX yesterday was $193,565.00 and the overall volume of shares was 24,870.
