Belco leads charged as BSX gains on week

The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index gained 31.808 points last week to close at 4,396.42.

During an active week of trading Belco Holdings led the advances, gaining $1.50 to close at $39 as investors traded in 4,100 shares.

Argus rose 75 cents to close at $14.75 on volume of 8,500 shares, Keytech gained 50 cents to close at $13 as 3,378 shares changed hands and Bermuda Commercial Bank rose 5 cents to close at $7.55 on volume of 1,222 shares.

Butterfield Bank fell 25 cents to close at $55.50 as 30,544 shares changed hands and LOM fell 10 cents to close at $2.90 as investors traded in 25,000 shares.

Devonshire Industries traded in 600 shares to close unchanged at $14.95, Kentucky Fried Chicken traded in 200 shares to close unchanged at $6 and 4,700 BF&M changed hands to close unchanged at $18.50. The total value of the shares bought and sold was $2,135,096.60.
