The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index gained 9.10 points yesterday to close at 4,381.89.

On a light day of trading LOM led the advances, gaining $1.60 to close at $4.50 as investors traded in 2,000 shares and Stevedoring Services rose 75 cents to close at $7 on volume of 600 shares.

Butterfield Bank was the only issue to decline, losing 25 cents to close at $55.50 as 6,101 shares changed hands.

The total value of the shares bought and sold on the BSX yesterday was $351,830.50 and the overall volume of shares was 8,701.
