The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index gained 9.31 points on Thursday to close at 4,363.88.

On a moderate day of trading, Belco rose $1.25 to close at $39.75 as investors traded in 375 shares and BF&M rose 25 cents to close at $17.50 on volume of 6,648 shares.

Meanwhile Bermuda Commercial Bank fell 70 cents to close at $7.55 as 4,200 shares changed hands. Butterfield Bank traded in 3,888 shares to close unchanged at $55.75 and Argus traded in 31 shares to close unchanged at $14.

The total value of the shares bought and sold on the BSX yesterday was $381,462.80 and the overall volume of shares was 15,142.
