BSX drops as Butterfield dips

The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index yesterday fell 10.14 points to close at 2,470.05.Two of the Island's banks dominated activity on the Exchange with the Bank of Butterfield chalking up the highest volume of trading. The Company saw 5,198 shares change hands while its shares dipped 50 cents to finish trading at $34.50.

Two of the Island's banks dominated activity on the Exchange with the Bank of Butterfield chalking up the highest volume of trading. The Company saw 5,198 shares change hands while its shares dipped 50 cents to finish trading at $34.50.

Meanwhile, Bermuda Commercial Bank saw 1,000 shares move yesterday while its stock price closed up 20 cents at $6.50.

Argus was the only other company to see activity on the BSX yesterday with 200 shares trading at $20.
