The Bermuda Stock Exchange Index rallied yesterday after all three banks saw their share price rise on an otherwise quiet day of trading.

Bank of Bermuda gained 25 cents to close at $48.75, Bank of Butterfield rose $1.00 to $33 and Bermuda Commercial Bank rose 50 cents to close at $8.50. No other stock changed hands.

The index closed up 1.23 percent or 32.32 points at 2,658.78 on a volume of 2,788 worth $102,860.
