Here are the proposed plans by Government, to possibly implement as early as September.

— Five primary schools could close including East End Primary, Prospect Primary, Gilbert Institute, Heron Bay Primary and Dalton E. Tucker Primary.

— Students would be split between Francis Patton, St. David's Primary, Northlands, Victor Scott, Harrington Sound, Elliot, Paget Primary, Purvis Primary, Somerset Primary, West End and Port Royal

— A new alternative school could be built for performing arts, sports, or gifted and talented students

— Smaller primary schools could be consolidated and preschools moved into buildings owned by Government

— Primary schools could run from P1 to P7 and middle schools would be a thing of the past

— An unknown number of students would be pulled from P3 through P6 to attend the alternative school

— Twenty-eight teachers could be without jobs
