The accident occurred at around 8.30 a.m. on Wednesday on Dundonald Street just outside the entrance to the Bermuda Industrial Union gas station.

INDECENT ASSAULT CHARGE CTS Indecent assault charge A 37-year-old Southampton man appeared in Magistrates' Court charged with indecently assaulting a girl under the age of 14.

Gordon Matthew, of Middle Road, will be tried for the offence, which occurred in St. George's Parish in 1988, at Supreme Court.

He was released on $1,000 bail on condition that he did not contact the girl.

The boat is thought to have become laden with rain water while moored at Ely's Harbour, Sandys.

A fire service spokesman said the alarm was raised by the owner at around 11.50 a.m. on Wednesday. "We used a portable pump to remove the water,'' he added.

The battery had been removed from the boat's own bilge pump, preventing it from working.

OFF THE ROAD CTS Off the road Warwick man Duarte Dacosta has been disqualified from driving until August 3, 1997.

Dacosta pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified and making a false statement, and was fined a total of $600 in Magistrates' Court yesterday.

Prosecuting, Insp. Peter Duffy said that Dacosta was stopped while driving a motor vehicle on Church Street, Hamilton, on September 15.

Although he gave his name to Police officers as "Ricardo Dasilva'' they found his real name and that he had been disqualified in February 1991 for driving at 87 kph.
