Robin Hood 2Tuff Dogs 1League champions Robin Hood won the 2013 Coronita Charity Shield with a hard-fought win over Bistro Cup champions Tuff Dogs at Goose Gosling Field last night.Lloyd Holder and Aaron Eversley scored for the winners while Maceo Dill scored the lone goal for Dogs.Hood were up as early as the third minute when Holder slid his effort home close range.The lead was then doubled when Eversley got his name on the scoresheet in the 35th minute.Dill’s goal came in the 55th minute but it was in vein as Hood saw out the match to claim the first piece of silverware for the season.Corona league action kicks off next Friday with a double-header at the same venue as BAA lock horns with Lock ‘N’ Key, while the second match will see Hood and North Vilage do battle.Kick-off for the matches is set for 6.30pm and 8.30 pm respectively.
