The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index jumped 17.94 points to 2,290.89 on volume of $84,312 shares as both major banks saw their shares rise.

Bank of Bermuda rose 45 cents to $31.55 while Bank of Butterfield gained five cents to $33.50.

Long Botham Boats jumped 50 cents to $4.50 on volume of 100 while KeyTech was up 30 cents to $10.25.
