The Bermudian tradition of flying kites on Good Friday has even spread Down Under.

Eric Schatz was proud to carry on the ritual in Melbourne.

Mr. Schatz, a 34-year-old architect, has recently moved to Australia with his girlfriend Sally Edelsten, an interior designer from Melbourne.

He said: "Whilst it is not the largest or prettiest, it certainly has to be the most southerly Bermuda kite to fly this Good Friday.

"Growing up in Bermuda I loved the tradition of kite flying and built and put one up every year.

"I have tried to continue the tradition overseas, including meeting up with fellow Bermudians in Hyde Park in London one Easter."
