Jason Cabral has been named an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society.

The actuarial analyst at XL Financial Solutions was awarded the Associateship designation by successfully completing seven examinations that are administered by the Virginia-based CAS.

Each examination covers a specific topic to develop a comprehensive understanding of the business of property and casualty insurance and an expert knowledge of techniques to solve insurance problems.

Mr. Cabral also completed the required CAS Course on Professionalism, which presents real world situations that contain ethical and professionalism issues for the actuary, and the Validation by Educational Experience Requirements.

He graduated from the University of Waterloo, with a bachelor's degree in Statistics and Actuarial Science in 2005.
