The edged BAA I 4-3 with a solid performance that also saw them take the 1001 to earn a tie in the overall standings of that event and get the right to play RAA in a play-off.

Members of the championship team are captain Steve Gair, Gavin Corcoran, Clyde Brooks, George Conner, Terry Quinn and Kevin Brown., Another interesting First Division match for the runners-up spot saw RAA beat Sandys 5-2, Sandys having gone into the clash with a two point advantage and requiring just three more to clinch second place. But it was not to be as RAA scored a convincing win.

Ronnie Thorne of Sandys won the high aggregrate in the First Division when he finished the season undefeated with a record of 14-0. He also also had the most tons (77), beating Gregor McQueen by just two.

Douglas Morris of BAA I was the high finisher with a 167 check out.

FIRST DIVISION Flanagans 4 BAA 3 G.Conner d J.Pratt 2-0, G.Corcoran lost to J.Clark 2-1, T.Quinn d R.Davis 2-1, S.Gair d F.Brewster 2-1. The teams split the doubles, BAA won the trebles, Flanagans won the 1001.

Sandys 2 RAA 5 R.Thorne d S.Hayward 2-0, D.Coddrington d G.Nisbett 2-0, J.Boltelho lost to V.Daniels 2-0, S.Matthews lost to G.McQueen 2-1. RAA won both doubles and trebles. BAA 0 Nationals I 7 R.Zuill lost to R.Cabral 2-0, N.Komer lost to C.Roberts 2-1, R.Percy lost to S.Crocher 2-0, B.Lewis lost to D.Ray 2-0. Nationals won both doubles, trebles and 1001.

BAA 2 Flanagans (I) 6 K.Hutton d S.Bezant 2-1, E.Simons lost to J.Holder 2-1, L.Harrison lost to J.Tavares 2-0, B.Hutton lost to B.Booth 2-1. Flanagans won both doubles and trebles. BAA won the 1001.

SECOND DIVISION Pomander Gate 2 BAA 5 I.Waddington d C.Madeiros 2-0, N.Warren lost to V.Maiato 2-0, D.Pugh lost to S.Corday 2-0, I.Carruthers lost to P.Hedgson 2-0. The teams split the doubles, BAA won the trebles and Pomander Gate won the 1001.

Squash Club 1 Vasco 6 I.Linnegan lost to T.Corriea 2-0, R.Adams lost to J.DeCosta 2-0, J.Robb lost to C.Botelho 2-0, M.Sampson lost to L.Sousa 2-0. Vasco won both doubles and 1001, Squash Club won the trebles.

Moonglow II 1 Ocean View 6 R.Smith lost to G.Parker 2-0, M.Pickering lost to G.Redford 2-0, L.Smith d J.Mihelic 2-1, D.Bealing lost to P.Swan 2-1. Ocean View won doubles, trebles and 1001.

THIRD DIVISION Sandys 4 BPSA 3 C.Butterfield lost to K.Stewart 2-0, R.Bean d B.Gibbons 2-0, J.Burrows d R.Bernado 2-0, A.Reed lost to P.Bromby 2-0. Sandys won both doubles and 1001, BPSA won the trebles.

Last year's winners are reminded that their trophies must be returned to Steve Croucher at the Hickory Stick as soon as possible.
