While it was touch and go for a while, the cruise ship Norwegian Majesty eventually braved stiff winds and negotiated the town cut into St. George's yesterday afternoon, reported Joe Simas of Meyer Agency. She is scheduled to depart Friday at noon.
Meanwhile the MV Horizon bypassed St. George's altogether and arrived in Hamilton Monday morning. She brought 1,266 passengers to the Island and is scheduled to depart tomorrow.
The Zenith arrived in Hamilton on Tuesday and will forego the normal shift to St. George's today due to unsettled weather. The Zenith brought 1,198 holiday-goers and will depart tomorrow afternoon.
The Pacific Princess was undeterred by the bad weather and docked in St.
George's yesterday with 584 passengers. It will shift to Hamilton today, then to Dockyard tomorrow, before departing on Friday.
The Nordic Empress arrived yesterday with 1,107 passengers. Because this trip is its last journey of the season, it will leave tomorrow rather than its normal departure on Friday.
And the Queen Elizabeth II returns to the Island on Sunday morning after calling in last week. The Cunard line's flagship will depart Monday morning.
The freighter Bermuda Islander arrives in Hamilton tomorrow morning with 119 containers in total -- 19 refrigerated, one flatbed, two open top and 97 dry containers. It will depart Friday morning.
The Oleander arrived in Hamilton last Sunday with 142 dry containers, 35 refrigerated, three trailers, two maffis, 15 cars, one trolley-style bus and one track loader. The ship left yesterday morning.
