Smith covered the course in 34 minutes and 28 seconds and was not seriously challenged by Sylvester Jean--Pierre who finished in 35.55. Jamal Hart was third in 36.41 followed by Leon Bascome (37.46) and Luc Laurent (38.05).
Jean-Pierre was also the first male master while Harry Patchet (38.31) and seventh overall, was the first senior master across the line.
Mark Morrison was the first junior in 41.02. finishing 11th overall. In the women's division, Anna Eatherley battled it out with Lynn Patchett before winning by 30 seconds in 39.12. Patchett had a time of 39.40.
Third was Jane Christie in 41.55.
Kim Mason was the women's masters prize with a time of 7.40 for 27th overall while Shar-dae Whitter, 42nd overall, captured the junior prize with a time of 59.13.
A total of 45 runners took part.
