Ingersoll get Gelly

MONTERREY (Bloomberg) - Ingersoll-Rand Co., the maker of Thermo King refrigerated trucks, hired James Gelly as chief financial officer to replace Timothy McLevish, who left the company to join Kraft Foods Inc.

Previously, Mr. Gelly, 47, was CFO at Rockwell Automation Inc. and treasurer of Honeywell International Inc., Hamilton, Bermuda-based Ingersoll-Rand said yesterday in a statement.

Gelly holds a master of business administration degree from the University of Virginia, the manufacturer said.

Mr. Gelly, who has also been appointed senior vice-president and will serve as a member of the company's Enterprise Leadership team, takes over finances.

Mr. Gelly also will have to handle an Internal Revenue Service audit of 2001 and 2002 tax filings that was announced in July because of issues related to debt and its reincorporation in Bermuda.
