The trio now stand together with eight points, although 7-Up still have the edge based on a superior goal differential.

Panthers had Boulevard as their prey in a lopsided 45-10 feast, which they led from start to finish.

Leading the onslaught was Terry Quinn, who notched 20 goals, which combined with 17 from Connica Smith and Jimeka Johnson's eight confirmed the result.

Conversely, Boulevard had little defence, while offering even less offensively and consequently saw their record dip to just one win and three losses from four matches, which put them seventh in the nine team league.

Meanwhile, Netts were made to struggle early in their match against sixth-place Wolves and trailed 8-7 after one quarter before storming back.

The final score read 40-26 as the victors' attacking tandem of Kimale Pitt and Gina Christopher bore fruit in the form of 20 goals apiece.

Valerie Lee led Wolves with 16 and Christine Cook added 10.

The battle of the league minnows was a competitive affair as AICO and Cooper & Lines finally found compatible opponents after being mercilessly thrashed about in all previous outings.

AICO emerged 33-22 winners, but the losers could take pride in reaching double figures in scoring and generally holding their own.

Oneika Wainwright tallied 23 for AICO, aided by Ardyne Smith's 10. For Cooper & Lines, both Carol Mitchell and Elaine Simons got 11 to drop.

Another close encounter witnessed PCC grind it out against Running Rebels for two quarters before pulling away in the second half for a 32-23 triumph.

Karen Jones and Erika Russell scored 21 and 11 respectively for PCC to offset Patree Hayward's 20.
