The Chamber of Commerce's E-business development division has appointed John Narraway as its new chairman.

Mr. Narraway, of Cellular One, was elected at last week's annual general meeting and replaces Mark Diel.

He will have responsibility for heading up the Chamber's e-business-related initiatives for the Island's retail and international business sector.

"In two years this group has made tremendous strides in becoming an industry body for which the Department of Telecommunications and E-commerce is able to utilise and gain feedback and consensus on its process of ensuring that Bermuda maintains a leadership position in the international e-commerce arena," Mr. Narraway said in a press release from the chamber.

The division in made up of 12 industry representatives and Government advisors and meets monthly.
