More than 100 students graduate from Berkeley
More than a hundred young men and women took their last steps as Berkeley students yesterday, and their first steps as Berkeley graduates.
This year, 126 students graduated, with 84 percent earning a grade-point average over 2.0.
Berkeley Principle Michelle Simmons said: "These graduates represent hope for Bermuda. They are our future teachers, business executives, engineers, lawyers, carpenters, doctors, chefs, social workers and politicians. The list goes on."
Of the graduates, 27 will be starting college or university programs in England, the US or Canada in the Fall, while many others will continue their education at Bermuda College.
Among them is the Class Valedictorian, Rasia Ming, who will be attending St. Peter's College in New Jersey.
Eighteen student earned single, double or triple honours, and several have earned scholarships.
