charge of the schools until new principals are appointed in January.

The Education Ministry made the announcement yesterday on the heels of news that the principals of both schools have been promoted to senior education officers.

Mrs. Vivlyn Cooper, former principal at Dellwood, and Mrs. Donna Daniels, former principal at Port Royal, are expected to strengthen the liaison between schools and professional staff at the Education Ministry.

Dellwood deputy principal Mrs. Suzette Walters will become acting principal at that school. And Mrs. Gloria Pearman will be acting principal at Port Royal.

Mrs. Walters began her teaching career in 1972 and joined staff at Dellwood in 1983. Mrs. Pearman, who has been teaching since 1952, joined Port Royal in 1971.
