OIL names Wesley as CEO
The board of directors of Oil Insurance Limited (Oil) and the board of directors of Oil Casualty Insurance Limited (OCIL) have announced the appointment of Jack L. Wesley as President and Chief Executive Officer of the two Bermuda-based companies.
Mr. Wesley has been serving as interim president and CEO since the retirement of Jon R. King in March 2001.
Previously, Mr. Wesley was senior vice president and chief operating officer of OCIL since his arrival in Bermuda in 1996.
Prior to joining OCIL, he was employed by Shell International Limited in London and Shell Oil Company in Houston Texas.
OIL and OCIL are property and casualty insurance companies, respectively, owned by its energy industry policy holders with combined assets exceeding $4 billion.
OIL commenced operations in Bermuda in 1971 as a mutual insurance company originally designed to service the needs of the petroleum industry.
OCIL commenced operations in Bermuda in 1986 as an energy-industry owned insurance company designed to service the needs of the energy industry.
