TCD to put driving demerit info online
People will soon be able to view their driving demerit points online at the revamped Transport Control Department.
In the House of Assembly on Friday Premier Ewart Brown, who is also responsible for the Ministry of Transport, said TCD was considered the worst Government department when he became Minister in 1998, but was now considered one of the best.
"The days of waiting ten weeks for a driving test; and eight weeks for an appointment to get your car tested are gone. Today I am pleased to report that the waiting period is generally less than two days for driving and riding tests," he said.
"As for your vehicle inspection you can often drive to TCD at any time and have your vehicle inspected on the spot at all three testing locations."
He noted that it was awarded a Best of Bermuda award last year and an award for Best Business Solution Using Technology during Tech Week.
