Govt. extends open invitation to all seniors for Annual Tea
It is that time of year again for the Annual Senior's Tea — and so far scores of seniors have registered to attend.
Still, the Cabinet Office is asking for all others, even those without an invitation, to join in at the Botanical Gardens on Sunday.
The Senior's Tea will take place from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and there will be a special bus and ferry service leaving the East and West Ends at 1 p.m.
The event, expected to attract several hundred seniors, will feature music from 'Next Level' and Maegan Frith-Rattery, a performance from the Gombey troupe and a special tribute to the late Minister of Health, Nelson Bascome.
Premier Ewart Brown said: "Wanda and I truly look forward to hosting this event for our seniors. They've done so much for Bermuda and this is just one of the thank you gestures for their commitment and dedication to this Country."
