St. Kitts & Nevis PM to visit Bermuda
The Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis is due to visit Bermuda on Thursday after an invitation from Premier Ewart Brown.
Dr. Denzil Douglas will be on Island until May 25.
On Friday, he will address the House of Assembly and will attend a luncheon later with Bermuda residents with strong Kittitian and Nevisian connections
According to a press statement, Dr. Douglas is a leader in the area of health care in the Caricom Region.
Some of the other activities planned will be the guest of honour at a dinner hosted by the Minister of Health, Walter Roban.
Dr. Douglas will take a ferry ride to Dockyard and tour Commissioner's House with Dr. Edward Harris and Walter Lister will host the Prime Minister at lunch.
The Premier's dinner will be that evening and will feature a local menu as well as local entertainment and cultural offerings.
Dr. Douglas will speak at Christ Church, Devonshire, on Sunday morning, accompanied by Deputy Premier Paula Cox.
On Sunday evening, Dr. Douglas will speak at a town hall meeting at Bermuda Industrial Union Headquarters from 6.30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Finally on Bermuda Day, the Prime Minister will join other dignitaries at the Flagpole to enjoy Bermuda Day Celebrations.
