appeared in Magistrates' Court yesterday on an excessive noise charge.

Derek A. Morris, president of Bermuda Island Cruises, appeared with musician Tony Brannon, who plays at the parties.

They denied allowing unreasonable noise on the Warwick island that could be heard more than 100 feet away, to the annoyance of two or more people, on June 6.

It is understood top accountant and United Bermuda Party candidate Mr. David Lines is a complainant in the case and a key witness.

Morris, of Frith Estate, Warwick, and Brannon, of Mayflower Drive, Devonshire, will be tried on January 31. Lawyer Mr. Kim White said the case would last at least a day.

"It's going to be exploring areas of law which have not been canvassed in this court for some time,'' he told Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis.
