The entire day is Tourist Appreciation Day and the public can join artists Graham Foster, Kris Jensen, Elmer Midget, and Tracy Williams in creating art.

Also in Dockyard will be jewellers, ceramic-makers, goldsmiths, and other crafts people in the celebration of the arts.

Community Art Day is a free event for all people who can bring paints and paper and add to the atmosphere.

Restaurants will be open and local entertainment will be on hand in the Masterworks Terrace Gallery. The celebration of the arts event is the lead up to the 1999 Grand Art Festival by the Sea which will be held on Sunday, May 16 on Front Street.

Everyone is invited to enter in the "My Bermuda'' competition in the festival. The deadline for entries is April 30.
