Road works will affect bus service to Knapton Hill, the Ministry of Transport has announced.

A spokeswoman said that the Route 3 bus – which usually travels up Harrington Hundreds Road and over Knapton Hill – will instead continue down to South Road to avoid roadworks on Harrington Sound Road.

She said: “Roadwork has now progressed further west on Harrington Sound Road requiring the public to make further diversions effective immediately.

“Route 3 buses must now divert down Harrington Hundreds Road to South Road, continuing on South Road and Paynter’s Road until the intersection with Harrington Sound Road.

“There will be no service to Knapton Hill beyond Harrington Hundreds Hill intersection nor the Harrington Sound Road side of Devil’s Hole.”

The Ministry apologised the public for any inconvenience caused by the diversion.
