charge of indecent assault.

Magistrate the Wor. John Judge heard that the man, a bar manager at a major hotel, allegedly kissed and fondled a 21-year-old co-worker.

Mr. Judge heard that on March 1, the woman, a food and beverage controller, went to the man's office to get the keys to the hotel's bars in order to take inventory of the stock.

The court heard that she asked for the keys and stepped inside to wait for them.

She alleges that as she did, the man stepped behind her and locked the door.

He walked to his jacket on a nearby chair, and took a little white box out of a pocket.

He told her that he had bought something for her and showed her the box.

The box contained a silver ring with a red stone.

Sobbing, she told the court that he put it on her index finger and then tried to kiss her.

And all she could do was turn her face away because he was holding her right shoulder with one hand and her buttocks with the other.

He told her in English and Portuguese that he loved her.

The woman said she told him she was married but he ignored her and asked her to kiss him back.

She said no, and managed to escape.

The woman told the court she could not find her co-worker so called a friend on the sixth floor to tell her of the incident.

The women then called the personnel manager, who told them to report it to the security director.

They did, and were taken to the general manager, who advised the woman to go home.

She went to the Police Station to report the incident.
