The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index gained 11.94 points yesterday to close at 4,359.37.

On a quiet day of trading Butterfield Bank was the only issue to advance, gaining 25 cents to close at $55.75 on volume of 14,600 shares.

While no other issues changed price, Bermuda Commercial Bank traded in 100 shares to close unchanged at $8.25.

The total value of the shares bought and sold on the BSX yesterday was $814,775.00 and the overall volume of shares was 14,700.
