Wilson strike just enough
Second Division champions PHC squeezed by with this victory over a spirited St. George's squad at Southampton Oval, thanks to an early goal by Duval Wilson.
The season finale saw PHC finish on top of the table with 12 victories, a draw and just one loss from 14 matches.
Wilson slotted the ball home after just four minutes, finishing off a superb build-up down the flank which ended with a cross into the middle of the St.
George's defence.
Though prevented from having many clear cut chances at goal St. George's, who will meet the Zebras in this weekend's Shield final, fought hard and matched their opponents in the middle of the park for long spells.
PHC blew a good chance to score in the second half when substitute Darren Francis broke through the middle of the defence only to put his shot wide from the breakaway.
