US Naval Annex open to public this weekend

And directors of the Bermuda Land Development Company want the public to turn out and discuss their views on all the former baselands.

weekend.

And directors of the Bermuda Land Development Company want the public to turn out and discuss their views on all the former baselands.

BLDC chairman Vincent Ingham said: "This company wants to make decisions with an understanding of people's hopes and concerns for the baselands.'' The "open house'' at the Annex, being marketed as Morgan's Point, starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday and runs to 4 p.m.

The day will include guided bus tours and a reception tent where people can meet BLDC directors and talk about the bases.

But Mr. Ingham said: "The open house is not about redrawing the land use plan for the military bases which Parliament passed last summer.

"Rather, it's an opportunity for people to let us know their thoughts on the bases, to learn about the company and to see a property which has been shut off from the Bermuda public for decades.'' *** Strands Hair salon, Skin Clinic and Day spa are very pleased to announce the placement of two aspiring Bermudian students in the well-known training salon, Andrew Collinge Academy, in Liverpool, England.
