Kristina Bean wins Darron Lightbourne Scholarship

Kristina Bean is the first recipient of The Darron Lightbourne Memorial Scholarship.The scholarship was established in June, 2005 in memory of Darron Lightbourne, a graduate of Talladega College, Class of 2000.Ms Bean is beginning her sophomore year at Guelph-Humber, Ontario, Canada, where she is pursuing a degree in social work, the discipline that Mr. Lightbourne fulfilled at Talladega College. This annual scholarship is funded by donations from the general public. The value of this scholarship is $5,000 per year.
