The annual Cannon-ball Ceremony will be held on Sunday, beginning at 3.15 p.m.

The event will be held in conjunction with the Bermuda Sea Cadets President's Parade. The cadets will be led by the Bermuda Regiment Band.

Immediately following the Salute, the Cadets will be led by a lone piper to reassemble at ease on the Parade Ground as the chairman of the Museum calls for the rent of one cannon-ball to be produced by the director.

The cannon-ball is an artefact from the wreck of the Sea Venture and represents the token rent for the Keep of the Dockyard.

The cannon-ball will be escorted by an honour guard of Sea Cadets and be passed on.

The ceremony will close with a Trumpet Fanfare from the Regiment. The Governor and Premier will then depart for a private reception in the Queen's Exhibition Hall and once the Cadets are dismissed, the invited guests will join them.

Members of the public who stay behind will also be treated to an early evening gospel concert sponsored by the West End Development Corporation.

Limited seating in a designated area will be provided for the ceremonies with additional seating to be provided for the concert. People can also bring their own lawn chairs for the concert.
