Police said the two-vehicle accident occurred just after 7 p.m. on Wednesday.

The collision occurred when a cycle ridden by an 18 year old from Pembroke was travelling east on Middle Road and a car driven by a 27-year-old Pembroke man pulled out onto Middle Road from Orange Valley.

The cycle rider suffered a dislocated hip while his 17-year-old pillion passenger received a sprained back. Both were detained at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

The driver of the car was not injured. But both vehicles were extensively damaged.

POLICE FIND MISSING GROCERY TRUCK CRM Police find missing grocery truck Police arrested a 23-year-old Warwick man after management at Hayward's supermarket reported that a grocery truck was missing.

A Police spokesperson said officers spotted the truck and the man leaving it around 11 p.m. on January 3 at St. Monica's Road, Pembroke.

After questioning him, Police arrested the man on suspicion of stealing.

A backpack with personal items, which had been left in the truck, was retrieved minus an undisclosed quantity of cash.

CIGARETTES, COINS STOLEN FROM CLUB CRM Cigarettes, coins stolen from club An unknown amount of cigarettes and coins were stolen from the Ex-Artillerymen's Association Club during a break-in.

Police said the incident occurred when the club, on Victoria Street, was broken into between 11 p.m. on Tuesday and 7 a.m. on Wednesday.

The items were taken from the pool room.

The matter is under investigation.
