After Saturday's play Port Royal I clung to first place in the A League with 381 points on 1,531 strokes with Port Royal II in hot pursuit in second place with 37 points on 1,539 strokes. In third place are Ocean View I with 31 points on 1,547 strokes.

In fourth place are BGA Men with 301 points on 1,543 strokes followed by Mid Ocean Club (18-1,581), Belmont (18-1,604) and Ocean View II (17-1,588) at the bottom of the standings.

On Saturday, Hank Ascento of Port Royal I came up with another sterling performance on his 73 and Arthur Jones of BGA shot a 74.

In the B League, Bermuda Junior Golf Association and Belmont are locked in a first place tie with 29 points on 953 strokes for BJGA and 969 for Belmont. In third place are Port Royal III with 24 points on 975 strokes and in fourth are Ocean View III with 23 points on 1,006 strokes.

At the bottom of the rung are BGA Ladies in fifth with 22 points on 980 strokes and Castle Harbour in sixth place with 17 points on 998 strokes.

YOUTH BASEBALL BB The Mailboxes Unlimited Cardinals grabbed the Little League title on the weekend when they erupted for 15 runs in the fifth inning to defeat the Yamaha Reds 22-2.

In the other match, the Gray & Kempe Pirates thumped the Island Press Mariners 17-9, with the Mariners unable to hold on to a 9-8 lead after three innings.

After the title game it was announced that a summer league will take place for youths 13 to 15 years old. There will be a registration desk set up at the gate of the Naval Annex on Saturday for anyone interested in participating.

TENNIS TEN Coral Beach and Tennis Club will be holding their annual club championships for members beginning on Saturday and concluding the following Saturday, July 17.

Events will include men's and women's singles, men's and women's doubles and mixed doubles. Entries can be received no later than Thursday at noon.
