Hamiltonian Hotel's owners owed $432,000 in 2008

The Hamiltonian Hotel and Island Club was almost half a million dollars in debt to Government for land tax in 2008.
Former Auditor General Larry Dennis' report states a total $1,607,873 was outstanding in land tax remittances in arrears for 2007-8.
The top ten property owners who, at June 30, 2008, owed more than $40,000 and were more than 90 days in arrears were:
• Hamiltonian Hotel and Island Club ($432,784);
• Bermuda Transportation Co. Ltd. ($224,477);
• Lorenzo and Sonya Caletti ($160,714);
• The Galleria ($87,282);
• Hill Air Corporation ($71,174);
• Keith Robert Dunmore ($69,187);
• Altimont Roberts ($62,169);
• Robert A. Mercer ($58,146);
• Rebecca Zuill and Lawrence Brady ($57,940);
• Voorhees and Ellen Lightbourne ($53,728).
