Butterfield gains 1.3% on BSX

Butterfield Bank shares rose 1.3 per cent in Bermuda Stock Exchange trading.
The bank gained 49 cents to close the day on $39.60 as 3,206 shares changed hands.
Butterfield’s US-listed shares fell four cents, or 0.1 per cent, to close on $40.44 on the New York Stock Exchange on above-average volume of 322,139 shares.
The Royal Gazette/BSX Index gained 26.28 points, or 0.99 per cent, to close on 2,669.61. For the week, the index gained 2.23 per cent, driven by a 2.9 per cent gain in Butterfield shares, and a 1.1 per cent climb for BF&M.
The BSX Insurance Index tumbled 67.63 points, or 3.86 per cent, to close on 1,683.56.
