Cooper returns home from Middle East to join CD&P
Bermudian Guy Cooper has returned to the Island after a stint in the Middle East to take up a new role in the corporate practice of Conyers Dill & Pearman.
Mr. Cooper, who had worked as an associate in both the Dubai and Abu Dhabi offices of Reed Smith, one of the world's largest law firms, will focus on company and commercial work and has specialist expertise in the formation of companies and partnerships, joint ventures, restructuring and finance transactions.
Prior to his time with Reed Smith, Mr. Cooper was an associate in Conyers' Dubai office, which he played at key part in launching in 2006.
Mr. Cooper holds a BA (Hons) in Economics and Geography from the University of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne in England. He also completed a Postgraduate Degree in Law and Legal Practice (achieving a Commendation) from The College of Law in Guildford, England.
Mr. Cooper began his pupilage at Conyers in 2003 and qualified as an associate in 2004. He was seconded to Dubai in 2006 to launch the firm's Dubai office alongside Roger Burgess.
