Jermaine Quidir Salaam, 19, of Beacon Hill, was charged with causing grievous bodily harm and carrying an offensive weapon. He was not required by Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis to enter a plea.

The case will be tried in Supreme Court.

Mr. Francis set bail at $1,500 with one surety. He also set a 12 a.m. curfew and told Salaam to report to Somerset Police Station twice a week.
