Teen robbed on Khyber Pass Road, Warwick

A teenager was attacked by two men as he rode through Warwick at the weekend.The incident took place in Khyber Pass at 10.30 p.m. on Sunday.A Bermuda Police Service spokesman said: "The victim, a 17-year-old young man from Warwick, stated that he and another young man were riding a motorcycle along Khyber Pass in Warwick when they were accosted by two young men travelling in a black car in the area of Random Lane.

A Bermuda Police Service spokesman said: "The victim, a 17-year-old young man from Warwick, stated that he and another young man were riding a motorcycle along Khyber Pass in Warwick when they were accosted by two young men travelling in a black car in the area of Random Lane.

"The victim sustained facial injuries and was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. The other individual on the motorcycle was not injured. It appears that the victim knew his assailants.

"Inquiries into this incident are underway."

Witnesses or those with information are asked to contact the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit on 234 1010.

A fight broke out at Southampton Rangers Club on Sunday.

Police officers arrived at the club at 9.40 p.m. following reports of "a scuffle", but the men involved left the premises before they got there.

A Bermuda Police Service spokesman said: "Officers maintained a visible presence at the club until all patrons had dispersed and left the area."

A man was attacked as he left a pizza house at the weekend.

The incident took place at the Shelly Bay Pizza House restaurant at 4.30 p.m. on Sunday.

Police say a 22-year-old man from Pembroke was assaulted by a man wielding "a blunt object" as he left the restaurant.

The man escaped on a motorcycle and the 22-year-old proceeded to the Crawl Hill Esso service station, where he saw his assailant.

A Bermuda Police Service spokesman said: "Words were exchanged between the two men and a scuffle took place. Members of the public managed to separate the men; however, as the 22-year-old was walking to his car, he was attacked again with a blunt object by the unknown man."

The man was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital where he was treated for injuries to his ribs.

The attacker rode a silver/grey V80 Yamaha motorcycle. He is described as black, 5 ft 4 in tall, in his twenties, slim and wore a red and black Helly Hanson jacket, dark jeans, black sneakers and a black helmet.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact the St. George's Criminal Investigation Unit on 293 2222.

Police arrested three people on suspicion of impaired driving at the weekend.

There were 14 damage-only road traffic collisions, four resulting in injury, four vehicles stolen and nine reported burglaries across the Island.
