David's have released a woman on Police bail.

Police arrested the 40-year-old woman who was lodging at the house on Sofar Lane after the blaze last Wednesday.

She has now been told to report back to Police next month.

A Police spokesman would not confirm details of the investigation.

Nine firefighters from two crews fought back flames and extinguished the fire within six minutes after it took hold at 6.44 p.m.

Fire Service investigators confirmed around $3,000 worth of damage had been caused but nobody was hurt during the blaze.

Detectives from the Eastern Division were told by fire chiefs that the blaze was probably started deliberately.

Harnett & Richardson Limited has applied for planning permission to develop its 200-year-old Number 75 Front Street site.

Proposed work includes additions and alterations such as a new porch, replacing balconies, a new ground floor shop front, an additional retail shortage area, additional office areas and new toilets.

The majority interest in the local insurance and shipping agency company, plus the prime Front Street location, were purchased earlier this year by Michael Freisenbruch and Meyer Agencies Ltd. from business tycoon Stanley Evans.

NATIONAL TRUST SUBMITS PLAN PLN ENV National Trust submits plan The Bermuda National Trust has submitted to the Planning Department a plan for a boardwalk at Paget Marsh Nature Reserve.

The application, which was received by planning on October 13, calls for the creation of a pond and a five-foot-wide boardwalk.

In its application, the Trust said the boardwalk "will traverse the natural habitats and allow residents and visitors to the Island to continue to experience and learn from Bermuda's native ecosystem.'' HUBCAPS REMOVED FROM SUBARU CRM Hubcaps removed from Subaru Police are searching for the culprit who stole the hubcaps off a Pembroke man's car.

Police spokesperson Evelyn James Barnett said the theft took place on Warehouse Lane sometime between Saturday night and Sunday morning.

The man told Police that he parked his blue Subaru across from his residence around 8.30 p.m. on Saturday.

WOMAN SPARKS FULL-SCALE ALERT FIR HOS Woman sparks full-scale alert An elderly woman sparked a full-scale alert involving Police, the Fire Service and ambulance service after she fell over inside her locked house.

The woman -- who has not been named -- was unable to get up after falling and called the emergency services.

Firefighters were called in to get into the house, at Harbour Road, Warwick, and the woman was taken to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for check-ups, although she was not thought to be seriously injured.
