A record seventh-wicket partnership between Shannon Raynor and Dwayne Leverock laid the foundation for Southampton Rangers' 87-run win over Police that catapulted them to a fifth straight Belco Cup final at Somerset Cricket Club on Saturday.
Together the pair added 163 runs to rescue their team from a precarious 87 for six.
Raynor dominated the stand with a belligerent 88 off 101 balls. He thumped 11 fours and two sixes and received solid support from Leverock who chipped in with 48 from 94 balls.
A sloppy Police didn't help their cause any, conceding 48 runs in extras and putting down at least six catches in the field.
Seamers Traddie Simpson and Melvin Best and off spinner Andy Cumberbatch took two wickets each.
Rangers made early inroads with the new ball to have Police reeling at 48 for six from which they never fully recovered.
Leading the Police resistance were middle order bat Dennis Archer (32) and tailender Best (29) before the curtains came down in the 38th over.
Inflicting the heaviest damage with the ball for Rangers was left-arm spinner Leverock and swing bowler Ryan Belboda who picked up three wickets each while player/coach Janeiro Tucker and Jason Wade had two apiece.

Young Men's Social Club advanced to their second Belco Cup final in three years when they demolished Cleveland County by 120 runs at Lords on Saturday.
Led by dashing half- centuries from player-coach Charlie Marshall and Detroy Smith, Social Club posted a challenging total and then took only 29.2 overs to dismiss their opponents.
Marshall stroked six sixes and two fours in a 57-ball 68 while Smith belted six fours in an even 50.
Also making useful contributions for Social Club were Damon Robain (25) and Dwayne Adams (32) who added 50 runs for the second wicket.
Spinner Tashon Desilva was Cleveland's best bowler with figures of three for 36 while skipper Tamauri Tucker and Kian Butterfield had two each.
In reply, Cleveland found themselves on the rack at 29 for five in the seventh over with seamer Kani Darrell (two for 26) narrowly missing out on a hat -trick after collecting the scalps of Butterfield (one) and Carlton Smith (0) with successive deliveries.
Wicketkeeper Patrick Stamp topped the Cleveland batting with 35, Dennis Musson jr added 19 and skipper Tucker ten.
Seamer Jeffrey Tyrell was the pick of the Social Club bowling with four for 41.
Elsewhere on Saturday, St.David's beat PHC by 41 runs in a Group A make-up match at White Hill Field to join Social Club, Devonshire and St.George's in the semi-finals of this season's Open League competition.
