The 45-year-old Devonshire driver suffered a bruised shoulder and two cuts to an arm which needed 11 stitches.

He was later arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.

His 46-year-old Hamilton Parish passenger bruised her shoulder in the accident which occurred just after 8.30 p.m.

OBT POL Police are probing the circumstances surrounding a man who was found lying unconscious on Court Street last night.

Insp. John Dale said the man, whose idenity has not been released pending notification of next of kin, was found at 10.15 p.m. on the western side of Court Street near the junction with Victoria Street.

The man is described as dark skinned, five-foot, six-inches tall, slim and dressed in grey clothes.

Police want to speak with anyone who might know how the man got there, particularly a motorist driving a white jeep.
