I want to thank my mother ...
...Belmira Lima who passed away over 4 years ago, for teaching me so many life lessons. She taught me, by her example, to be fiercely independent. She taught me that nothing gives you more self confidence than achieving something you've set out to do, no matter how small. My mother was a 'doer' and she successfully completed whatever she put her mind and hands to. My mother was also a woman of great faith in herself, her family and our father in heaven.
Maria Pereira
...for allowing me to realise that her children, my brother, sister and I, were the most important things in life to her. I use her as my role model and example for how I am with my son. I never let anything be more important than him. Time comes and goes quickly. Once lost to never get back.
Dorann Simons
...Jo Bredesen, in St. Paul, Minnesota for being an extraordinary blessing to me. The confidence I have as an adult comes from the loving way she treated me when I was young. Each day after school she would sit down with me to hear about my day. Moms are busy people, so by simply taking the time to listen to me, her unspoken words were, "you're worth it." What better message could a mother give? So to my mother, I send my love and profound thanks. I love you, Mom.

... Gloria Melvina Ball of Sandys Parish for her love, affection, dedication and support from the day that I was born, to the first day I entered school to get an education to the adult years of my career.
I thank my mother for teaching me to have strength on most fronts and quarters. She is like my big sister and is my confidante.
May God continue to richly bless her with a good life and health so that I and my sisters and brothers can have her with us on this earth for a while longer. My mother is the Matriarch of our family. We love her dearly every single day, but there can be no other day as special and meaningful as Mother's Day.

...Debbie Barboza, for being the 'Best Mother on the Planet', for everything she does for us, even though she works hard all day at the Hospital, helping people who have asthma, she always has time get us ready, make our lunches, take us to school, and to all the after school activities we are in every day, violin and piano lessons, tap & jazz, baseball practices and games, and swimming lessons. She supports us in everything we do, and comes to all our school Sports Days and other events.
Most of all we want to let her know that we really appreciate her and REALLY Love her - not just on Mother's Day, but EVERY day!
Phoebe and Lilly Barboza
