Ruthless Rangers wrap up title
Flatts 164
Warwick 166-6
Warwick triumphed by four wickets over Flatts in the battle of the bottom-dwellers yesterday at Southampton Oval.
Like many matches elsewhere, the game was reduced to 35 overs a side because of a delayed start, with Flatts batting first and being bowled out for 164 ? three overs short of the maximum.
Phillip Burgess top-scored for Flatts with 31 along with Kiwon Franks while Warwick?s Randy Bean claimed figures of three for 36.
In reply, Warwick reached their target with only three balls to spare ? despite losing the services of star batsman Daniel Morgan after the former national team physio broke a finger.
Chris Douglas led the way for Warwick, scoring 40, and he was helped by Nyon Steede (34).
Flatts? Derek Wright took three for 31 off 6.3 overs which was just not enough to hold Warwick at bay.
