Marsh & McLennan announced yesterday that it has appointed Daniel Glaser chief executive of its main insurance brokerage business Marsh Inc.

Glaser is currently managing director of AIG Europe (U.K.) Limited and the regional president of AIG's American International Underwriters, UK/Ireland division.

He joins Marsh next Monday, the broker said.
